What is Semi-Permanent Make-Up?


It is the implanting of FDA accepted cosmetic grade iron oxide pigments into the dermal layer to simulate eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner and diminish scars.

Is Iron Oxide safe ?


Iron oxide is found in face powder, make-up bases and other make-up products. A patient with semi-permanent make-up cosmetics is able to have an M.R.I Scan without fear.

Semi-permanent make-up is designed to create a natural look to enhance features or diminish flaws. Small eyes can appear larger, eye shape can enhance. Eyebrows can be made to look symmetrical and be created to frame the eyes.

How long does semi-permanent make-up last?


Semi-permanent make-up is considered to last up to 5/7 years since the pigments cannot be washed out. Fading may occur and semi-permanent make-up reapplied. It may take 2/3 years to fade.

Does Semi-permanent make-up hurt?


Most people may not find it a problem, for others it can be a little uncomfortable, this will depend on the individual's pain threshold. However, anaesthesia creams are applied before and during treatment to keep discomfort to a minimum.

Semi-Permanent Make-up After Care Procedure


After your treatment do not rub the area. You may go about your normal daily routine. There may be a slight swelling and redness, this is normal and will quickly subside. The treated area will appear darker, over the next few days this will soften and go lighter. There will be some flaking over the treated area. Your treatment may need a top-up to complete your semi-permanent Make-up, this is after about 28 days from your initial application of pigment. -You are recommended to return for a once a year maintenance.

Do Remember


The treated area will appear darker after the first treatment. Depending upon age, the skin may take between one to two weeks heal, and one month to see the true colour.

The strictest of hygiene and sterilisation standards are followed. The cartiridges are pre-packed, sterile. Every Client has a new cartridge.
